We chose to stay at Yumeoi-so due to it's location and the convenience to visit nearby landmarks. When we arrived we discovered that it is a really lovely place to stay with large rooms and a friendly front desk. While most rooms do not have private bath or shower there are many really nice private shared onsen, I wish we had more time there to see them all! The buffet dinner was also a very special experience with a private room and a very high quality selection of food which I highly recommend.

It was quite part of the town. Convenient shop close by within 5mins walk. Breakfast had an awesome spread!! Outdoor public bath was actually an indoor one. They had many private baths but we didnt get to try.

Hotel spent a lot of effort to make the onsen experience different, with yukata choices, private onsen that are free… also activities for kids at night, karaoke rooms etc. but probably should focus more on the basics of hotel amenities and cleanliness.

The room was spacious and very nice. We enjoyed both the public and private onsen. The breakfast had tons of great options.

Yumeoi-so is a fantastic family-friendly ryokan that we absolutely loved. The ground floor features a small play area for kids, perfect for families like ours while waiting to check in. They also offers free coffee, massage chairs, and the option to book a private family onsen in advance, which was a highlight. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the dinner buffet offers a great selection. The BBQ is especially noteworthy, with top-notch, fresh, and delicious ingredients. We also loved that they have staff onsite cooking noodles and making onigiri, adding a personal and interactive touch to the meal. Free-flow beer is another big plus. For added fun, there’s a small night arcade on the hotel floor where kids can enjoy arcade games. The hotel is packed with entertainment, making it easy to stay fully relaxed from check-in to check-out. Highly recommended for families!

Beutiful location near Mt. Aso. Next to a nice shopping street in a cute little town. Nice room with a huge and hot outdoor bath. Breakfast was good.

Super awesome hot spring facilities. Kind of old but still enjoy comfortable experience here. Dinner and breakfast are both amazing! So many choices.
