The fine print
Albergo Antica Posta is located in the pedestrian area of Ascona. When arriving by car and you reach Ascona, drive all straight until the post office. There, you will find two plugs designating the pedestrian area. Press on the white button and announce yourself as a hotel guest. The police will let you drive through.The hotel is located about 200 meters from there, on the left hand side, just after the boutique of Farfalla. It is a green house with two olive trees.
Please note that the city tax includes the Ticino Ticket. It offers free benefits and discounts in the Canton of Ticino, including free use of train and bus services. Giada, Ivana and staff were exceptionally friendly, professional and helpful! The room was well appointed and hotel located right in the old town, minutes from the square, restaurants and shopping (and the welcome drink was sure appreciated!) Giada provided the code for car access, so bag drop off and pick up was easy. The buffet breakfast was delicious with optional cooked breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel and congratulations to staff and management for making us feel so welcome!
