I had the most wonderful stay! The hotel itself is really lovely, with clean spacious rooms with gorgeous views overlooking the water. I was there as a solo traveller during the off-season and felt incredibly well taken care of. All the staff are so kind, friendly and thoughtful. Unfortunately I don't speak Japanese, but one of the staff members speaks English and was very helpful for organising logistics. The hotel restaurant was closed for the Winter, but the hotel has regular shuttle buses to take you to and from the main port where the restaurants and beaches are (note it is a decent walk to the main port, probably 20 minutes over the hill, pleasant in November but I could imagine it would be more taxing in the heat). I was also able to book an amazing snorkelling tour through the hotel. After check-out, the staff were also kind enough to hold my luggage and drop it off at the port before the ferry departed, so I could spend the day at the beach without my suitcase! There is also car and e-bike hire available for reasonable prices. Being there in the off-season when a lot of the tourist services were closed, it was so helpful staying somewhere where I felt all my needs were taken care of. The included traditional Japanese breakfast was also DELICIOUS and very generous! I would highly recommend it!

The island is beautiful! We stayed after the season and I could see how busy it has to be during summer months. We had a wonderful stay regardless. There was a shuttle from the hotel to the port, they provided evening option so we could have dinner near the port. People working there are very kind, you can see they are close to each other, like family. I would be very happy to be back in Zamami, in the summer or for whale watching. Shabu shabu night at the restaurant was a highlight of our trip !

Free towels, free water, and friendly staff. Right on the water, and vending machines in the building and outside for water and drinks. Convenient shuttle running multiple times a day to the town.

The island is beautiful and deserve any efforts to stay there The hotel is far (not convenient walking distance) from village/restaurants/beach number of shuttles are limited, no shuttle after sun set, no taxies at all on the island - so make sure you agree with the hotel on commuting/car rental etc - we paid 5000 Y for dinner commuting (two ways) for 6 family members make sure to reserve in advance dinner/lunch in the village we had 4 rooms, 3 of them were very clean, seems sheets were not replaced in the fourth room (#201)

Wonderful property, with excellent service. Everything was so easy, they offered us shuttle bus to the beach and the port, dinner bbq with Wagyu was so lovely and the breakfast was excellent. Staff were wonderful. Zamami is beautiful- we recommend it and we would return to this hotel. Our baby had a great time too!
