The property is directly on the beach so literally wake up and go outside for a swim or walk. Very quiet and great locatioin.

We absolutely loved our stay at Matriki! Although we spent four nights there, it felt far too short. Matthias is an exceptional host, full of fascinating knowledge about Aitutaki and its history, making every conversation insightful. We also joined his boat tour around the lagoon, which was truly unforgettable. Unlike other tour companies, Matthias takes his time, ensuring you can fully relax and enjoy the experience without ever feeling rushed.

On the edge of the beach with a view looking at the beach. The lagoon cruise was really good, Matthias is very knowledgeable and he says it how it is!

The free bike use was fantastic, and definitely made up for being 2kms out of the main strip. 2 main restaurants were within walking distance right next door which was convenient

Fabulous spot amongst the trees and right on the beach. Saw a whale frolicing just past the reef. Some old Paddle boards make the lagoon accessible. Tidy huts with a balcony. Has everything you need to self cater and mossie nets which are essential. We were able to rent a scooter onsite and free use of bicycles Nice sunset spot.

We really enjoyed our stay here, prime real estate right on the beach but without the hefty resort price tag. Great swimming in front of the huts at all tides, you don't need booties as there's lots of sand to stand on. You can see some coral and fish although not a huge amount. Snorkelling off the beach at Rarotonga itself (outside the Rarotongan resort) is better than off the beach at Aitutaki and the water is clearer. However the boat trip with Matthias had amazing snorkelling with crystal clear water and rays, moray eels, turtles, giant trevally and many other fish beautiful coral and giant clams, a must do! The free bikes were great and functioned well, we had fun tripping around the island on these with our stuff in the baskets. You can bike to the bottom of the nearby lookout walkway and then walk up for great views. Food wise we biked to the WokKai a couple of times, good for cheap Asian. One night we walked along the beach to Tava'e restaurant which was delicious quality food and generous portions for about NZD $30 for a main. Matthias was a great host and we enjoyed his laid back style on the boat trip. Overall we really loved Aitutaki - a real relaxed holiday place with plenty to do

Absolutely amazing Beach Huts! You have direct access to the beach, the accommodation has amazing location. The huts are really nice and have everything you might need. Took a lagoon tour and it felt so private and it was just really great day. You can rent a scooter with them too. We loved every single second of it and regret we couldn’t stayed longer. Recommend it 10/10. Really worth it. The owner, Mathias, he is really nice and very helpful. Thank you for unforgettable stay on Aitutaki!

Awesome location. Loved looking our to the ocean each day. We didn't have the best weather but still had a great time. The unit was cosy and had everything we needed.

Its location, with beautiful lagoon beach right in front of the huts, it’s quietness and relaxed, laid back feel.
