Food was excellent, ambience was lovely. The place flowed really nice. Lots of thought went into the design of the place. Gardens were incredible.

Incredibly large room with attic, excellent customer service and breakfast variety. The chilling lounge is the best space to be with lots of games available and cool music. Staff spends hours each day keeping the tropical forest around accomodation tidy or help with luggage up the stairs.

If I could give Surf and Sun a million out of ten I really would! From the moment I arrived and stepped into this oasis of calm, I knew I'd walked into something truly special. The space and location are amazing - a beautifully designed, tranquil spot where you feel close to nature and surrounded by outstanding design, whilst still in the heart of Arugam Bay. It’s super close to the beach and the food here is incredible - the best I had in Arugam Bay by far! Best of all, the team here are absolutely wonderful. They’re so friendly, kind, caring, funny and super interesting. Although I was excited for three more weeks of travel in Sri Lanka, the warmth and hospitality here made me truly sad to go. If you’re looking for a peaceful, respectful place to unwind and connect with nature and geniunely lovely people, then Surf and Sun is the place to go. Seriously, this place is amazing! Much love and many thanks to the Sun and Surf team, I hope to be back soon! 😍

A shady beautiful oasis just off the Main Street. Great rooms and lovely people. The gardens go on forever and there are plenty of cool shady places to chill out, beat the heat and have an awesome pizza.
