I stayed in Hostal San Gines last Christmas and enjoyed it that much I chose to stay again this Christmas, the staff are fantastic and helpful, the cleaners are happy efficient and really lovely ladies, San Gines is very well located, 1 min walk to the Lagoon where there are plenty of places to eat, approx 200 mtrs up the hill is a massive shopping centre with so many different shops, something for everyone, 2 min walk to the shopping street again with everything for someone, overall well located, cheap cheerful and all the staff are lovely, and a bonus use of the big kitchen area to make your own lunch or evening meal, thank you xxxx

Bed was comfi, staff was friendly, very clean , lovely hot shower , everyone was very welcoming and the kitchen was big and had all the necessary things. I would love to come.back and stay at this very same hostel. Great value for money

The hostel has a great location only few minutes from the sea front and old town. The kitchen is nice and spacious but the equipment is limited.

Good location, nice staff, but the hotel definitely needs to raise its cleanliness standards: The beds are tidy, but I found rubbish left by previous guests on the upper shelves of the wardrobe, the floor in the room also looks unwashed and sticky. The bathroom was clean.
