The fine print
Based on local tax laws, Peruvian citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Peru) must pay an additional fee of 18%. To be exempt from this 18% additional fee (IVA), a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented.Please note both documents are required for fee exemption. Guests who are not able to present both documents will be required to pay the fee.Foreign business travellers who require a printed invoice, will also be charged the additional 18% regardless of the length of their stay in Peru. This fee is not automatically calculated in the total costs for the reservation.

Nice hotel in the heart of Arequipa. Super friendly staff as they allowed us to check in early and also store our luggage over night while we were in the Colca Canyon. Basic but fresh breakfast (which is very common in Peru). The only thing is that we struggled to get the hot water running and the WiFi was pretty weak.

The location of the hotel is the best! It’s right by the plaza and it’s close to everything. The hotel is a mansion converted into a hotel which is beautiful. The beds are very comfortable, so we slept really well. The staff are very nice and helpful.

Amazing location close to the main plaza, beautiful property, lovely staff and a good breakfast. The beds were comfy and had nice bedding and our room had a view if the plaza.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Plaza Central. The hotel is in a fantastic location on the corner of the main square so you can walk everywhere easily. The room was clean and our room type came with a separate lounge area which was a great size so we could easily unpack and repack. The bed was very comfortable and we slept like babies. There was some noise from the street but nothing ear plugs could not block out if you’re a light sleeper. The breakfast was great, where you could pick multiple options. Bathrooms also had shampoo and shower gel. Staff were very accommodating and friendly, allowing us to store our luggage at the hotel whilst we went on an overnight trek. They even packed us a boxed breakfast as we checked out at 4am which contained sandwiches, multiple bananas and bottles of water. I would highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing place! Location is the best and what a lovely breakfast they serve. Rooms are huge, very clean. If ever coming back, will stay here again for sure :).
