Everything was spotlessly clean, the beds were really comfortable and the breakfasts well cooked and generous. Our hostess Fiona was really friendly and helpful, especially in accommodating all the last minute changes we had to make.

Good choice but some items not as fresh as expected, individual cereal boxes not fresh, suspect as they were stored in rather damp consetvatory/lean to

The breakfast was excellent. A good choice and variety. Location was good, close to shops and pubs etc. Made to feel very welcome.

I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels / guest houses but the room in this one was the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in, the breakfast is excellent too - with everything made to your taste. The owner is such a character, and probably works a lot harder than she needs to! Put your feet up! It’s only a 5 min walk into the centre of Appleby it’s quiet and secure too.
