I was looking for a little bit of a different experience and that's what I got at Iroha Ryokan. The staff lady we interacted with was extremely sweet and spoke a little of English which was super helpful. The room wasn't big but was packed with so much charm.

The host was really nice. Out of all the futons I've slept on, this place was the best. It was warm and cozy. Super duper near to the train station and attractions.

Great location right by the station and the city center, our host was very kind and gracious, facilities were regularly cleaned. Great value if you're looking for somewhere to stay by the station!

It’s a 5 minutes walk from the main station to the small locally owned inn. The single room with the tatami mats has more than enough space for a solo traveller, and there is hot water provided every day along with light refreshments. The owner is also courteous and nice. Overall I love the homely atmosphere this accommodation has. They didn’t offer meal service but they were very happy to recommend great restaurants around.

Cosy tatami room in a traditional guesthouse in Aomori City. The location is just across from Aomori Station, with restaurants, cafes and bars within 5 to 10 minutes' walk. The room and facilities are simple and clean, and the host is welcoming.
