The hosts were very kind and attentive. The room.was nicely furnished and clean. The bed was comfortable and you can very conveniently hire a bicycle. The lake view was very nice as well.

Nice place to stay in Anuradhapura. A lot of stores and restaurants only a few minutes away. The host and his wife were very friendly and helped us to plan a few steps in Anuradhapura. Also he picked us up by Tuktuk at the bus station and brought us back.

We arrived very late after 1 AM from Colombo via the express bus and the hosts waited for us! Room was spacious and comfortable with hot water and a/c. Breakfast spots were within walking distance. Their house faces the lake with migratory birds and can be a pleasing morning or evening walk. Host managed to arrange a scooter for us at a resonable price, which we took to visit the ancient capital and Mihintale. They have 2 teens and we chat with their daughter about the country, cricket, salaries and inflation. Host wife allowed us to use the kitchen to cut fruits. Host husband dropped us at the bus station on his tuk tuk for the next leg of our journey. I'd say it is a pleasant stay to get to know the locals better.

The hosts were excellent and very very helpful in arranging anything you wanted or needed. I took a tuk tuk ride with the host who then acted as a guide for me which was lovely. I would recommend this and the host showed me local places to eat and it was really good food at a reasonable price. These hosts want to make your stay as pleasurable as possible and nothing is too much trouble. The budget room was clean although there is no how water in the shower. Not that it’s needed at this time of year but just know that.

Pali and his family are sincerely warm and helpful. Pali introduced us to different restaurants where locals eat, and took us there personally. We were invited to join the family in a community New Year’s celebration and they prepared a surprise New Year’s Day breakfast feast. The room was spacious and clean, quiet except for the roosting flocks of birds from the lake. Wonderful.

The loveliest stay! The host family are so kind and helped us with laundry, arranging a great guide for the ancient city and when our tuk tuk nearly broke down. The room is large and super comfortable and the location is great, in the centre of town but tucked away next to a beautiful lake with amazing bird life. Great value!

The accommodation is located within walking distance of the bus station, shop and restaurant in a quiet location by the lake where it is possible to observe many species of nesting birds.
