Although the location is in urban surrounding the plants make it look like the jungle. Two very nice roofterraces. (One with a fridge with water and beer). The host Danika is even for Sri Lankian standards very friendly and helpfull.

The owners are amazing and make the stay very special. They cook deliciously and offer a homemade local breakfast which was indescribably tasty. In addition, they helped us to arrange all activities with very fair prices. Visual highlight of the hotel are the many plants which make it very cosy. We highly recommend this place and would definitely come back :)

The hosts were amazing. They made sure we made the most out of our trip and arranged all of our trips. They even showed us a very scenic route to take with our tuktuk to the next location. We also did an evening tour to the biggest stupa and bodhi tree where they was a ceremony (this is done every night). This was a very impressive experience and would really recommend to do this!

The hosts are friendly and amazing. They organise some trips by themselves which are nice and can help arrange other stuff. Recommend the breakfast and diner as well. She cooks great meals. Location is on a busy street so some noise is expected.

Clean and comfy beds. Super friendly owners! Owner will tell and show you about the many variaties of plants he has. Activities are easily arranged by them and the guides are knowledgable and will tell you a lot about buddhism and the other surroundings! The AC stopped working and was immediately fixed, amazing breakfast and dinners were served. I added an extra day!

The owners were super friendly and very helpful in organising transport and guides. They made our stay so much better! The accomodation is close to restaurants and sites are just a short ride away.

lovely hosts they do home cooked meals beautifully both dinner and breakfast tasty and beautifully presented hosts both very helpful and put themselves out to help with our train booking that was changed they offer a tour guide who we used for an evening tour and highly recommend as was very knowledgeable wish we had used him for our day tour as well

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at Sacred City Resort; we were were made to feel very welcome and were looked after extremely well. Kaluhs was extremely helpful; he gave us a detailed map of the area and described the key sights in the city. We accepted his offer to tour the city by tuk tuk with his friend, an English teacher, who took us to a Buddhist festival and gave a very informative guided tour about the history of the city and Buddhist philosophy. Nadeeka cooked a wonderful dinner for us and the breakfasts were also delicious and plentiful. The rooftop garden is a great place to view the sunset and enjoy a huge variety of birdlife. Very highly recommended.

This was the best accommodation we had in Sri Lanka. The rooms were spotless and very clean, the sunsets on the roof top were just beautiful, the hosts were extremely kind. They even organized a birthday breakfast for me. We were so delighted that we extended our stay for 2 more weeks. Everything was perfect and we will definitely be back!
