We liked the communication and service while staying on location and right before. We also enjoyed the room and all its facilities. A large bedroom, sitting room and bathroom with everything that we needed. The breakfast was great, even though they offered us the "second" best option we enjoyed it very much.

I was staying in the beautiful and spacious Hemmingway suite. Upon arrival the host was waiting for me and happy to give a tour and explain a bit about the history of the house and their personal use. The whole house radiates an eclectic atmosphere from forgotten times. Everything is super clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable.

What a superb place to stay, outstanding. The instructions provided by the owner ‘Lydis’ were spot on and easy to follow, despite the harassment of arriving on a Friday afternoon in rush hour! The accommodation and welcome were fantastic as were the rooms. If you Arte staying, you must have the breakfast prepared personally by the owner

A quick break to Antwerp was a birthday present from my husband. He found this lovely place, too, which is one of the best places we have ever stayed in (we travel a lot, and our standard is pretty high). Certainly the whole holiday was a delightful present, largely thanks to Au Lit, Jérôme!. Each room is different, and is tastefully decorated with elegant furniture and beautiful and interesting objects. We were lucky to enjoy two of their rooms - two nights in Proust Suite, and one night in Hemingway Suite. Breakfast is a true feast with healthy but tasty food (several courses!) served in antique china. You pay extra for it, but it’s definitely worth it. Our hostess was a wonderful cook. We also enjoyed talking to her (and her husband) about food, different cultures, art and literature. The wonderful Royal Art Museum is just two minutes away, and dozens of lively restaurants are close by. We will definitely go back there.

10/10 Eric & Lydia were fantastic hosts and the place is beautiful, and we loved Lydia's breakfast also. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely stay there again in the future.

Beautiful home, very unique interior design, excellent location, clean rooms, generous hosts who also treat you like family! The breakfast room and garden is very unique. Lydia and Eric share the best insider tips around Antwerp and Ghent. My experience was magical and I can't wait to return again!

It's difficult to pinpoint a certain aspect we found great, as all aspects our stay were perfect. The room (we stayed in the Golden Suite) was really beautiful, one of a kind. It was squeaky clean, everything done at the highest standard. Lydia was an amazing hostess, she welcomed us very warmly and gave us a tour of the room. In the morning she offered us freshly baked cake, even though we did not opt for breakfast. That we found very kind. Next time we will definitely have it, as Lydia goes the extra mile to make her guests feel at home. We hope to return soon.
