Staff amazing, lovely food and a nice warm pool . Only complaint would be,no chair in twin room to sit at dressing table or long mirror.

Mostly all was good. Staff were very helpful and friendly - especially Callum and Stan. I had dinner there and food was excellent. Good breakfast the next morning - but coffee could do with improvement.

Hotel felt quite dated. Pool looks much bigger on website. But staff polite and helpful. We thought it was quite pricey for one night, especially as we had to leave before breakfast. We had hoped our breakfast money could be put towards dinner but that wasn’t possible.

Amazing place. Friendly staff. Beautiful four poster bed… Only thing that should be reviewed is breakfast: poor continental choice and less than amazing English breakfast… in this quality of hotel much more was expected…

Lovely hotel with fabulously attentive staff. Don’t expect Premier inn style stay, this is an old building with the charm of such. Fantastic delicious food and nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were so welcoming. Stayed for the second time ( once in 2019, second time now) so glad they survived COVID as a hotel as I shall choose this place every time I’m in the area.

The room was warm and comfortable. We had a very good night's sleep. Our continental breakfast was great - I loved the fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal and croissant. Very nicely laid out. It was a real bonus to have a swim before breakfast. The pool was a nice size and a lovely temperature (warmer than my local pool at home!) We were not able to arrive by 21.00 when check-in closed. John sent clear instructions regarding the key lockbox and how to get to our room. When we arrived at about 22.00 John was actually waiting by the front door to greet us before he went home. Very kind and welcoming.

It is a lovely building with lots of character. The rooms were lovely, as was the interior of the hotel. The staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was lovely. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
