This eco-friendly design hotel in Andermatt is just 500 metres from the Gemsstock Cable Car and the Nätschen Ski Lift. Rooms in this 280-year-old building are individually decorated with traditional wooden furniture and floors.

Great location. Staff told us about the stagecoach coming through town to travel over the St Gotthard pass. We watched them arrive and depart. The passengers had a coffee break at the River House. Great bonus!

The breakfast was ok it seemed a bit lacking on portion sizes. But it was enough as we felt full. The location was good. Would be ideal for skiing when in season. The town was very quiet at the time of our visit. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a good size

Comfortable, clean, contemporary decor whilst keeping the original charm and character of the building staff were polite and hey, the food in the bar was excellent, local produce.
