Hotel Overview

"The renovated Jesse Hotel Hostel is located in the very heart of Amsterdam, at only 2 minutes by foot from Dam Square."
The hotel is a typical ancient building in downtown Amsterdam that has been classified "Monument". All monument buildings are restricted by the government and can't be modified which means there are no elevators. Traditional ancient narrow deep stairs have a history of hundred years therefore it is recommended to try to avoid carrying large suitcases that are heavy and have large wheels.
The basic rooms of Hotel Jesse have either a shared bathroom or private facilities.
The Anne Frank House is located a 5-minute walk from the hotel. You can reach Amsterdam Central Station in a 10-minute walk. Tram stop Dam/Raadhuisstraat is a one minute walk away and offers direct connections to the Museumplein.

“Perfect base close to main town and sights”

Central to all the main attractions. Tram stop right outside and very close to central train station. Staff were friendly and helpful. Perfect if you want a base to sleep at but be out most of the day exploring.

Lobby is enough. Tea (2,5 euro) is good. 6 bed hostel room was a roof room so it was fresh air. hostel is clean enough. daytime luggage storage (free) is perfect. it is 7+ hotel but the stair is problematic for lots of people.

Really close to everything. Perfect! Staff was nice. They had snacks, cold drinks. Rooms were relatively clean, but could be better.

The location and the view of our room is just what we need. It was amazing at the 1st floor with the view of the cathedral and it was near the central station. Our tram station was just opposite of the hotel. The room and private bathroom was clean and comfortable.

- The location was absolutely perfect, close to everything. Dam team station is right outside - Lockers were big enough to fit a large day bag and quite a few bits - Towel was provided which was nice - Despite being a solo female in a dorm of 7 men I didn’t feel unsafe at all - I didn’t feel worried about leaving my suitcase under the bed as there was electric key to the room - Staff and check in process was easy
