Hotel Overview

Hotel de Westertoren is located only steps away from Dam Square and a 10-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. Each room has coffee and tea facilities and free Wi-Fi.

Staff, cleanliness, cosiness! And in an excellent location too. Those stairs are real :-) Felt very welcomed particularly over the Christmas holiday. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Room was small, and there was a steep staircase at the entrance with no elevator, but I expected all this from pictures and other reviews. Location was so great and clean, about 20 min walk from train station and super close to area with Anne Frank House (I've previously stayed in the Flying Pig Downtown Hostel and enjoyed Westertoren's location much better). There were a few dirt spots on the top of our bed sheets, but the room itself seemed clean, and the sheets were fine. We only stayed one night, but I would stay here again if I came back, especially with the good price. The staff was very nice and brought us breakfast in the morning, even though we were in a rush to get to the train station. The room had good outlets and wifi.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel de Westertoren in Amsterdam, and I’d like to share my thoughts on the staff, room, location, and breakfast. The staff were welcoming and efficient. They allowed us to check in early in the morning, which we greatly appreciated after our long journey. The room facilities were very good considering the rating and price. The bed was comfortable (very soft), with a pleasant leafy view, a flatscreen TV, and a shower in the room. A well-maintained shared toilet was conveniently located nearby. The hotel's location is truly ideal. Situated just a short walk from Dam Square, it places guests in the heart of central Amsterdam. This proximity makes it easy to explore many of the city's attractions on foot, enhancing the overall convenience of the stay. The surrounding area is charming, lined with canals and local shops, providing an authentic Amsterdam experience. Breakfast was delivered to the room around 8:30 am, as advised at check-in, and included a croissant, bread, cheese, jam, yogurt, coffee, orange juice, and a biscuit. Additionally, the hotel's decor reflects the authentic style of Old Amsterdam, featuring beautiful, narrow stairs that add character to the place.
