The fine print
Please be aware that guests who are 40 years old or older and have booked a dormitory room may be required to upgrade to a private room at an additional cost. We regret to inform you that we cannot accommodate guests of this age in our dormitories. Please note that this property doesn't accept minors under the age of 18 years old. Male guests who book in Female dorms will be required to rebook a mixed dorm/private room (please note this is subject to availability, cancellation fees will apply on the original booking). Hans Brinker has additional terms for group bookings (Group bookings = 20 pax or more as well as all student, sports teams or event-based (bachelor party etc bookings). Please contact the hostel to confirm any such bookings as these will need to be agreed prior to the stay. Maximum stay is 5 nights. This also applies to multiple reservations totalling more than 5 days. We cannot guarantee that beds booked under the same reservation will be in the same room. While we usually accommodate such requests, priority is given to guests who book entire dorms.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

I had an amazing stay at Hans Brinker Hostel! The location is perfect—very central and close to everything. Our room was cozy, beautifully decorated, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and surprisingly quiet. One of the highlights of my stay was the gentleman preparing breakfast—his cheerful attitude and singing instantly lifted my mood every morning! Also, the crepes were the best I’ve ever had! Overall, a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam! Kisses from Greece

We had a private double room and it was equipped with all necessary stuff. The design of the room is simple but efficient. The breakfast buffet hasn't had a wide range of products but everything that was offered was totally ok for breakfast. Within that price range: Top!

Very clean and comfortable. Location was pretty good. Security at the door made us feel safe (you have to have a wristband to get in).
