Boutique Hotel the Craftsmen was such a beautiful little hotel! It was the best first stop for my partner's first time in Europe. The staff were all so helpful, the breakfast was great and the location was perfect to be able to explore the rest of the city! The room was so clean and warm, we will definitely be staying again when we come back to Amsterdam.

Breakfast was always on time (having chosen the time we wanted the night before) it was always ready for us when we came down to the gallery. A boiled egg, little Dutch pancakes, fresh fruit, granola and yoghurt, ham, cheese and selection of breads and croissant - all really fresh and tasty. As others have said, the sandwich shop next door produces wonderful food that can be eaten in the hotel for lunches. The room (we had Airplane Builder) was quirky and very comfortable with a brilliant view over the canals at the front of the hotel. There were many plus points for this hotel, especially if you like quirky and individual, but one of the main standouts is the friendliness of the staff - they are all exceptionally caring, chatty and helpful. The hotel is an easy walk from the central train station but in a quiet area. There is a lift but it is very small, and the staircase is very tight and spiral so access up and down is good exercise for the day!

“An excellent stay! The hotel’s exterior and interior design is beautiful, small room just for one person (the one that I stayed) and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making the experience even better. Would definitely return!”

Lovely staff and lovely breakfast. Location was impressive. The elevator is quirky and "fun" but generally the stay was very comfortable.

Unique boutique hotel with each room individually themed and fitted out with great attention to detail offering a luxury feel from the start. Situated in a fairly quiet but central location by the Singal canal which gave lovely outlook. A delicious breakfast laid out at the requested time was a delight as was the gift of Delftware coasters on checkout. The staff were extremely welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful.

Lovely authentic boutique hotel in a great location with easy walking to tram stop, but also close to restaurants and the tourist sites. Staff friendly and helpful. Wonderful breakfast, wish we had booked to stay longer!
