The generosity and kindness of the staff blew me away. On arrival, I was informed I'd given a room upgrade, which Christos explains he likes to do whenever possible. It really meant a lot to me! The room was beautifully decorated, comfy and well-resourced. I loved the balcony and the dual views to the mountains and the sea. My needs as a remote worker were accommodated with care: I was given a cosy spot and extension cable and the restaurant wifi was perfect, even when sitting closer to the beach. I can't thank Alex, Chrysa and Ioannis enough for their wonderful company and for helping a lone traveller find a home away from home. The food (and raki) was excellent! The location was perfect, easily accessible from the airport and the city centre. I was charmed by the surroundings, the small river near the hotel was fresh and cold, while the sea was warm and perfect for swimming on calm mornings. The views and sunset were spectacular. I might be going back to the office on Monday, but my head I am still at Aptera Beach :)

The room was really comfortable and it had everything I needed, including air conditioner, fridge and a coffee machine. Great shower! The hotel has its own restaurant, with really good Greek food, but you can also get a coffee and have some relaxed time looking at the sea. The view from the balcony was to die for. The beach was great and I liked how, unlike other hotels with beach bars/ restaurants in the area down the road, it was quiet and there was no music - instead you could enjoy the sounds of the sea. The staff were amazing and extremely helpful and accommodating - thank you Christos, Niko and Panagioti! I will definitely book again this year. I managed to switch off work immediately, and that is really priceless.

We enjoyed staying at Aptera Beach. We reached the hotel easily by bus, as the bus station is just a few minutes away. Check in and check out we’re nice and easy. We had an evening flight back to our home country, so they allowed us to leave our baggage there while we explored the city some more. Our room had a lovely seaside view. It was spacious and clean. The restaurant is also amazing. We loved the food there. Both the hotel and restaurant staff are kind and helpful.

Christos was such a welcoming host, especially after waking him up at 4am as we had arrived in the early hours off the ferry. He was able to put us straight in a room and swap around other rooms without a hassle. Location is great short walk to local restaurants and mini marts. However, we would recommend hiring a car as the each main town was a short drive or long drive depending where you want to go.

Christos is perfect host, service was great. Location is perfect, near city yet isolated and peaceful. Service inside living quarters was great as it was on the beach. 10/10 recommendation
