Great location, lovely and comfortable newly fitted out rooms, great view of American River, fast wifi. Excellent restaurant for local seafood delights - among the best seafood meal we have ever had. Friendly and hospitable owners/hosts. The parking area was being updated while we were there in early March (it’s located on a steep hill) - so the parking challenge will be solved in the near future.

Beautiful renovated rooms with lovely modern furnishings , peaceful, very comfortable bed. Nice continental breakfast. Wonderful hosts - so friendly and helpful in giving us tips on what to visit.

Amazing recently refurbished hotel in American River. The rooms were spacious and super comfy beds. We actually spotted the glossy black cockatoo from our balcony. The hosts were super friendly and served a delicious breakfast every morning and we went for their 7 course fine dining for dinner where we got to watch sunset and was the best meal we had on the island hands down

Travelling with my sister, we loved every minute of our stay at The River Suites. From the delightful breakfast (with very relaxing background music), lovely rooms with the most spectacular views (we left drapes open to see the beautiful sunrises) and choice of comfy pillows, River Suites delivers. Owners Nicolas and Dhea are delightful and we'd highly recommend having dinner at their Samphire Restaurant ... local seafood degustation was superb. Flavours exquisite... nothing not to love. These guys deserve every support and success. You won't be sorry!!

Exceptionally clean, well thought out and appointed room with a beautiful water view and balcony. Modern furnishings which someone clearly took some time to put together. Quality linen, bedding and towels. The continental breakfast was much appreciated each day by my husband whilst I enjoyed a nespresso on the balcony watching the sun rise over the waters. Bathroom was clean, water pressure perfect with the kitchenette well appointed with necessities such as Nespresso, teas & microwave. Good sized wardrobe, big screen TV, big lounge & even a dining table. After our first use of the shower we returned to find our room made up and our lovely hosts even popped a shelf into the shower for all our toiletries which they took off the floor & placed on the shelf. Its the thoughtfulness and added attention to detail which made our stay extra special. Our hosts were friendly, warm and inviting. They got our room ready early for us after having to catch the early ferry to the island. Couldn’t recommend this beautiful suite more and I am fussy (according to my husband!).

The atmosphere at this property is created by the lovely owners! Dhea is so welcoming and lovely, she made me feel so safe although I was hitting a rough spot during my solo travel, so thank you for that! The food is amazing, if you like fresh seafood, you just need to try their menu! The rooms are new, quiet and have a lovely view.

Fabulous location and views from room (which was why we chose it). Big, comfortable room. WiFi ok. Breakfast adequate, we've had better. Great view again from Dining Room

Very Relaxing looking over the water especially the sunrises. The room was lovely and clean. Had everything we needed. All the renovations have been well thought out. Will be great when the car park has been finished. The breakfast was amazing. Healthy and very friendly service. Great advice on how to spend our touring day of this amazing island

Stunning view, nice room. Good location, but it's a drive or long walk to anything else. OK to find but could do with some signposts. Parking area being upgraded which made parking near the unit very difficult, but that will improve. Probably the best accommodation on there Island for view, but some problems, see below.
