Returning to this piece of paradise...it is still an absolutely beautiful place to stay, 10/10. The kindest staff. It is directly on the beach, has spa on site, restaurant on site and is walking distance to dive centres/restaurants/yoga shalas. What more could you want? Already booked to come back again. Thank you to the beautiful team at Sunshine.

The standout feature is the location. It’s right on the water’s edge in a quiet part of Amed. The snorkelling is superb and it isn’t necessary to venture too far. In fact, waist deep water will provide a kaleidoscope of colourful fish of all sizes and varieties. A little further out and you may even spot a turtle. I was particularly impressed with the staff as they were all so very happy and helpful and greeted me by name every time I saw them. The pool is lovely and there’s always a section in the shade. There’s plenty of places to sit, lie down or generally just hang about at the bar/restaurant. I ate a couple of meals and Made, the chef, cooked me a special vegan cap cay. She was very obliging. The rooms are serviced daily and the common areas are spotlessly clean too. There’s a few really good places to eat and hang out within walking distance and if you need to go a little further afield the happy staff will kindly give you a lift on a scooter. I highly recommend staying at this special little retreat.

I had a great stay. The room was really spacious, the bed was comfy. AC was good. The breakfast was lovely, and the view out to sea while you have it is great. Pool area was great, very scenic. Location is good, not far from the beach, from restaurants etc. And the staff were all so friendly. Always remembered your name which was a lovely stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, a great stay and great value for money.

THE BEST IN AMED - Location- absolute beach front. TIP 2 minute walk to Galanga (great restaurant), 15 minute walk to Blue Earth Village (restaurant, yoga), 5 minute walk to Adi shop (cheese, wine, fresh sourdough baked daily) - Beach - snorkelling in front of hotel, I saw turtles, beautiful corals, fish, sand eels. Safe for swimming. TIP Can rent snorkel gear from kind family next to hotel on beach - DIVE DIVERSITY (best dive centre in Amed) 5 minute walk from hotel - Staff- so kind, always smiles, always welcome home by your name - Spa on site for massage - Restaurant on site for cocktails and food, last order 930pm for dinner which is great after a night dive to have hot Indonesian soup. - Deluxe room, good size, has wardrobe to hang clothes and desk. Comfortable bed and lovely plush pillows x4!!! - Daily room clean, made bed up every day, replaced toilet paper and gave me fresh towels during my stay with no need to ask - Very safe area, I did not need to lock my room, but there is even security also on site after 10pm. - INCREDIBLE value for money for a beach front location with a pool - Gorgeous pool surrounded by lush gardens and small hotel temples, it is up to 2.5 metres deep and you can see the ocean when you are in it and it remains a good temperature (doesnt get too heated across day so is always nice to swim)- I mainly swam in the sea though. - Large bathroom, toiletries provided- shampoo, body wash and toilet paper. 2 bath towels and 2 pool towels. Note the shower/bath are dated and iit can take some time to find the right temperature of the water/not strong pressure but absolutely fine given the price and location/services on site here. This is truly the best, I extended my stay to 8 nights and it was incredible. Thank you to the entire team working here, it is great to stay at a local run Balinese hotel. You are the best!

Lovely resort, small with great service. They even offered free afternoon teas & cake each day. Wish we stayed longer than 2 days. Sea view from the pool! Great snorkelling outside resort with turtles and colourful fish. Don't get the room close to the road as it's a busy road. Nice restaurant. Amazing value for money. Wake up to see the sunrise. Great friendly staff, spa/massage upstairs (although they were booked out so we went down the Road to a spa).

Location and grounds are superb. Right on the beach, beautiful pool and lovely outdoor set up. The food we ate was very nice. Staff were great and helped us as much as possible.

We absolutely loved our stay here. We spent a lot of time at the hotel relaxing and swimming. You are greeted with a cold towel, welcome drink and massage on arrival. The breakfast was very generous and the best one that was included with our room during our time in Bali. Snorkelling is nice right out the front of the hotel. Staff are super attentive and remember your name. The spa is on the second floor from 2pm - 10pm. It overlooks the ocean - I had a pedi and manicure and late massage. We extended by 1 night, bed is huge.

Beautiful setting . Beach front great swimming. Lovely swimming pool. Very relaxing. Would highly recommend
