Small rooms but quite cozy and comfortable. Welcoming and friendly staff. We were lucky to get parking just in front of the hotel, but the hotel has its own (paid) parking nearby if you can’t find a slot in front.

Amboise is definitely worth a visit, and Hotel Le Blason captures its spirit beautifully. We loved the charm and character of the hotel, the breakfast spread was plentiful and excellent value for money. And the staff were all so friendly and helpful.

It is fully of character and very well located for walking to the river, town centre and Leonado da Vinci’s house. I was kindly given a free update from the single room I’d booked but even the double room was small. They let me park my motorcycle in their secure parking area for free.

A very warm welcome from the gentleman on the reception desk. The hotel is a very old building: built in 1492 I was told, and was originally a blacksmith's workshop. As such the rooms are accessible by staircase only and the stairs are quite steep. It's a lovely quaint hotel and has kept many of it's original features. Our room was quite compact but it had a huge comfortable bed, was exceptionally clean and we had a lovely view onto a tree-lined park area. We were pleased to make use of the secure parking facility for our motorbike. Excellent. The hotel is just a short 5-10 minute stroll from the bustling town, restaurants and the Chateau. Thoroughly recommend.

everything was just perfect for us : central location, very clean, friendly staff, a garage to lock our bikes. The family room was extremely spacious and spotless. The value for money was exceptionally good given it included breakfast. We will definitely come back or recommend to other friends

Location was perfect for exploring center of town, restaurants, shopping, chateaux etc. Too far from train station for me, I was on foot & had to walk it every day. Reliable taxis are available though & the walk over the Loire is beautiful. Breakfast was perfect, even scrambled eggs! Very clean. Staff very helpful & friendly when I had to cancel my last night & when I got blisters from walking. Pharmacy was near & also helpful.

The hotel is very well located in a very pretty town that is well worth visiting. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The price of an overnight stay was very reasonable (in October). The hotel is an old characterful building but the room we stayed in had a great, recently modernised bathroom. There is secure parking in a nearby garage (for 8 euros) which was very useful for us as it meant we did not have to unload the baggage from a very full car. Strongly recommended. No complaints.

It had old world charm ! Our room was suitable! But lack of facilities and no multi language TV .
