Inns Overview

Wateredge Inn- The Inn Collection Group stands on the shores of Lake Windermere, a short walk from Ambleside centre. Set across two former 17th century fishermen's cottages, it offers cosy bedrooms and period features.
The individual bedrooms each have an en-suite bathroom and tea and coffee facilities. Rooms also have a flat-screen TV, hairdryer, and a comfortable seating area. Many rooms feature lake views and some have lake view balconies or garden patios.
A traditional full English breakfast is served daily. The popular bar and restaurant serves seasonal local produce and local real ales. Guests can enjoy the log fire, lake views and outside terrace and gardens.
Surrounded by beautiful lakes and mountains, Wateredge has its own boat slipway and jetty and is just metres from the steamer pier for cruises down the lake. The inn is also close to popular walking tracks and cycle paths.

The location and hotel itself are incredible. The staff are extremely helpful and I cannot fault the property. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were superb.

We booked a balcony suite overlooking the lake, its probably one of the best rooms we've stayed in! It was huge, lots of space and lovely decor. Patio furniture on the balcony was nice, although it was abit cold to sit out, the views from inside were beautiful.

Our 4th stay in 9 months. We just love it here. The rooms are so spacious for our family. Right on the lake. And the food is beautiful. My daughters love the breakfast of a morning. The staff have always been so lovely. It’s a perfect location for us don’t think we will stay anywhere else.

The room was spacious, clean and well designed. The staff were helpful and friendly and we spent the evenings in the bar/lounge area which had a lovely informal feel with other guests at the hotel. In the mornings breakfast was very good and we had amazing views of the Lake. Easy to drive to and great central location for visiting other parts of the lake district- we will go back in the spring to this hotel.

Plenty for breakfast, well cooked and lots of choice, hotel right on the edge of the lake, fab views, and even the basic classic double room was plenty big enough, but then again you don't drive 5 hours to a stunning location to sit in your room.
