Booked last-minute on the Coast to Coast from a pub in Patterdale to escape a late-August storm. Fancier than I'd usually go, but did meet that extra expectation in kind, so I cannot complain! Was greeted warmly and given a lovely cosy room. They were also able to provide a cooked vegan breakfast, though I did have to ask for a second hash brown/layered potato cake to round out the meal a little better.

We had a lovely welcome from Luke on our arrival, the evening meal was excellent, my room had a beautiful view and my bed was very comfortable, breakfast delicious.

The staff where very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable but a tad over warm. Breakfast was delicious. The shower was a tad snugg but aprt from that great Yes i would stay there again but hopefully as a couple for a bigger room.

All was good - quiet, well located, nicely presented, and friendly staff.
