The breakfast was amazing, original menu with an individual touch to the choices and some gorgeous tasting food. It was a very relaxing atmosphere with table service and a clean, warm and spacious environment. The bar at the hotel has the cosy feel of a Cumbrian pub, a real fire burning, beautifully decorated and friendly chatty staff. We ate in the restaurant the night before and the food, atmosphere and staff was all wonderful. The food was locally sourced and foraged with what is in season. Everything was top quality with consideration to being environmentally friendly.

Superb location out the way with views overlooking Ambleside. The pub is warm and cosy and the locals all friendly,lovely staff and some proper real ale brewed at the premises.
