Please note that Ambleside Townhouse is an old Victorian building with no lift.If guests smoke in their rooms, the guest house may charge up to one night's accommodation as a penalty.Guests are kindly requested to inform the hotel in advance of their estimated time of arrival if they are due to arrive after 20:00. This can be noted in the Comments Box during booking or by contacting the hotel/property using the contact details found on the booking confirmation.Parking spaces are limited and subject to availability.When booking for 4 or more rooms, different policies and charges may apply, and non-refundable payment is required.It may not be possible to accommodate guests in the same room for each consecutive night of their stay.

Small but very well equipped room, with plenty of storage, a very comfortable bed, great views and a really delicious breakfast (cooked and continental options). With free car parking and its location just steps away from a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, and all the local attractions, the Townhouse is perfect for a one-night stay, or longer!

Everything about our stay here was fantastic. The team were super friendly and efficient and it really was incredibly comfortable and felt very special. Location is perfect for everywhere and hotel parking was easy even through a busy Easter. We stayed in two rooms, one with two singles and a family room with a double and two singles. All the beds are proper [NOT roll-away or camp beds] so everyone slept very well and there was plenty of space in each room for us to relax and get ready for the day/night. Breakfast was super yummy and they created a special table for the 6 of us so we could be sure to sit together. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Breakfast was 10/10, plenty of options and good quality, staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Location was perfect, close to town and Lake Winderemere itself. Beds are also very comfortable.
