Please note that, owing to Stanshope's remote rural location, there is no public transport available in the hamlet. The nearest bus station is 7 miles away in Ashbourne, and the nearest major rail station is 22 miles away in Derby.Breakfast is served from 08:30 until 09:30.Please note that the WiFi is only available in the drawing room.Early check-in from 13:00 is available on Saturdays and Sundays.This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.

Had a lovely one night stay. We were welcomed with a tea with homemade biscuits and a roaring fire. The room was very big and cosy with stunning views. Bed very comfortable and had a great sleep. Bathroom very clean and big bath tub plus great shower. Breakfast was delicious. Staff really attentive and friendly. Location perfect for our walks. Would definitely come back.

Loved the house, rooms, staff. Views welcome, breakfast. Georgina is a delight. Beds have old coil spring mattresses and not good night sleep

The home was very welcoming and comfortable. The lady who runs the home met you on arrival with tea or coffee and even supplied little treats. With a lovely welcoming room by the open fire, giving advice on beautiful walks.

Loved the warm welcome and tray with tea and biscuits on arrival. Loved the care Naomi and Georgina went to to answer our questions prior to arrival, such as supplying a list of nearby places to eat. The location was idyllic, out in the countryside but offering many little villages and towns to explore. An excellent local map was available The breakfast was able to meet the needs of 3 of us with very different tastes. and our hosts were very attentive without being intrusive. Our spacious bedroom was a delight with wonderful views in two directions. The bathroom had everything we needed and our bed was so comfortable we had a great sleep. Thank you Naomi and Georgina, it was a great pleasure to stay with you.
