On entering the apartment,I didn't know what to expect. It was spacious with large bed , wardrobe, bedside cabinets and dressing table. ,well laid out. A 2 seater leather couch and chair placed opposite a wood log burner stove. There's a fully fitted kitchen at the other end with a table and 2 chairs. 3 windows that looked into the market square and one facing up the main road. Hardly any noise from people or traffic. Apartment was very clean and to a high standard.

It was perfect for us!! We stayed for 6 nights and we didn't need anything because it had all been provided for us. It was a very comfortable, clean apartment and was in a perfect location in the village heart of Alston. Next door to the apartment was the co-op and across the road was a drop off launderette. Breakfast goodies were left for us and the owners were on hand (they own the shop below the apartment) if we needed anything. 10 out of 10
