Hotel Overview

The family-run Hotel Schmung is right on the Alpe di Siusi ski slope, at 1811 metres of altitude. It features a wellness centre and elegant rooms with wooden furnishings.
A buffet breakfast is served daily consisting of sweet and savoury products. It includes homemade cakes, cold cuts and cheeses, and eggs. The restaurant specialises in local and Mediterranean cuisine.

Had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Schmung. It is conveniently a 10 minute walk from Compatsch which is the start of many hiking trails at Alpe di Siusi. The staff were friendly and efficient so we were pleased with the service there. Had both breakfast and dinner there and enjoyed the variety and quality of the food.

I had a great time. I was there for just to nights in connection with the Seiser Alm Half Marathon. Although my reservation only included breakfast, I was pleasantly surprised to hear that I could get dinner for €20 each evening (five-course menu). The SPA (free access) made it for a perfect combo after the run.
