The room was beautiful. Lovely high ceiling with lovely stained glass windows. Feature made of the altar. Lovely little extras- handmade cookies and chocolate.

Great location next to Alnwick Castle with lovely walks to Lion Bridge, along the river with amazing views of the castle. The property is beautifully decorated, making it feel very homely. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner was lovely.

We were warmly greeted upon arrival and were given a free room upgrade! Our room was beautiful and spacious, lots of beautiful interiors , Penhaligon toiletries, teas, coffee, gorgeous cookies! There was nothing more we needed except we wished we’d booked a third night! We dined in the bistro restaurant that night, service was exceptional, nothing too much trouble. Our meals were delicious and the portion size and presentation was extremely good and generous. The lounge area was very comfortable and it was lovely to relax in there after our meal with our friends who were staying there also and have Brandys and cocktails. A great end to the night!
