Hotel has known better times. Host/staff was very friendly. Room was fine and clean, although a bit outdated. We enjoyed the balcony. Walking distance from bars and (few) restaurants and the beautiful fortified town Almeids.

Bare minimum as choices for breakfast. Enough but not exceptional. Staff at reception polite, but just exactly that, polite.

The location is great if you are coming or going to other parts of Portugal, like Coimbra or Douro valley! Breakfast was o.k., standard coffee/tea plus bread or croissant. A short walk to the historical part of the town ,plus a miniprecio market is close by in case you need something extra.
