Location strategic. Near to some food places. Since we are in a group we like the time there where we can cook together & hang out. Some of us is smokers there's an outside hangout area for them for smoking.

It was ok …….just. Very average really and in the current climate where hostels are really upping there game I feel this one needs a bit of tender loving care and improvement, especially considering what it costs which isn’t cheap for a hostel. Little things would really help such as curtains for the bunks plus little shelves on the wall where people could leave their phones, glasses etc. Just needs improvement.

the location is perfect. is it within walking distance of all the top spots in Almaty. the staff was nice. a grocery store is just right outside the main door. love the kitchen. the toilet/bathroom is okay. nothing to complain. i like my stay there.

You can’t demand a hostel to have fancy infrastructure while wanderlust offers a really competitive price at a very convenient location. But most important, the staff here are really nice and super helpful. I specially want to thanks Balgyn, who helps me to book a taxi to Saty, and help me to negotiate with taxi driver through whole process. That really helps a lot. So I will highly recommend wanderlust to you all

The location was super centered, that's the biggest bonus of the hostel. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. There is a storage for the luggage, so in case you want to leave in the mountains and come back, there is a place to leave the extra things.
