“Friendly, funky hostel with lovely atmosphere”

I loved my room! It was funky and comfy. July in Almaty can be hot but I had a fan and I had to make use of it. But privacy and comfort were great in the double room I got. I didn't even had to use the kitchen as I had a microwave and a fridge (and some crockery and cutlery). Staff were nice and accommodating. I could pay only in cash or Kaspian QR (or something like this, it's all over the country) but they were lenient with the days. Nice atmosphere overall. It's not in the center itself but it's close to shops, bars and restaurants and a walking distance to everything (if you like to walk!!)

The location is ok. Its was walkable to mall and metro and they have minimart adjustcent to the hostel. Very convenient. We go out early and come back to hotel late, so I cannot tell more about the whole hotel itself. It is good for backpackers. The kitchenette are ok too.

Nice cosy homely stay. Very helpful staff and there is a 24x7 shop adjacent to the hostel where you can buy your basic supplies.
