It’s in a great spot on the edge of the water and it’s really nice to sit out on the deck and watch the boats come past. Jeswin was super helpful, arranging a kayak trip for us and always responsive to any WhatsApp queries we had. Access to free filtered water which was great as meant we could easily refill water bottles and cut down on us having to purchase single use plastic ones! We would recommend this spot to others looking for a simple home stay in Alleppey!

The style and the lake view is very beautiful. The managers are very helpful and kind. Going out with a kenou in the early morning is unforgetable. AC is not included - you would pay for it extra 500 inr/day. You can order food from nearby, the owners prepare breakfast for us.

The service from Jeswin and the team at Malayalam Lake Resort was exceptional. From the start Jeswin was communicative and helpful, answering any questions I had about my stay and helping to book a boat tour in advance. Jeswin went out of his way to ensure I had everything I needed, providing detailed info about how to reach the accommodation and how much to expect to pay in auto/Uber charges. I would 100% recommend staying here whilst in Allepey, do a backwater tour and also book in for an amazing Ayurvedic massage at the accommodation. There are food delivery services that Jeswin orders on your behalf - he really has thought of everything here to help you feel at home straight away. Although it’s not in the heart of everything, an auto is easy to pick up outside the accommodation and quickly gets you anywhere in Allepey. The view from the rooms is beautiful and the sounds of the birds and other nature you wake up to in the morning are incredible!

The hotel is located right on the water and this makes all the difference, it is super picturesque to sit facing the canal and watch the boats go by. The staff is very helpful and kind, they offer some basic breakfast items (very cheap) and otherwise take care of ordering food for you. They helped us with organising a sunrise boat tour, too and getting to our next destination. We loved our stay here!

This place is absolutely magical!!! Definitely book it! I wasn't sure whether to do this or a house boat but this is way cheaper and sitting outside my room, watching all the boats go by was lovely. The whole atmosphere of the place is almost ethereal. Really helpful staff who will order food for you (and beer!). Great location. Loved the property and loved Kerala!

Our second time here, and it didn't disappoint. Rustic atmospheric accommodation. The view from the balcony is amazing watching the boats go by. You feel like you are on a boat yourself, you are that close Jeswin and h I s staff are so.friendly, they organised a Shakiri( small boat) ride for us. Good value.
