Very clean and cosy Eco resort. Very friendly staff. Very nice evening programme. Full of life on corall reef surrounding the island. Food in Seanic restaurant was great!

I have randomly selected Cinnamon Ellaidhoo since it's a known hotel group in Sri Lanka. Although every review recommended this place to be a Diver'a Paradise, I saw it otherwise. For a solo travel who was seeking solitude I found it as an ideal place for solitary. I selected the water bangalow & my room # was 242 which was perfectly placed at the corner. Peaceful, Serene, amazing glimpse of paradise where the shallow Lagoon peacefully shakes hands with the deeper darker ocean. Such a sight lovely staff, perfect food, amazing location. I want to thank Tharanga, Chandana, Sisil and Suhaib (housekeeping) who really represented Cinnamon Values in an very unique manner and I recall others whom briefly met Neranjana, Rohana/Rohitha and Pradeep from the front office who made great first impression to make me feel like home. I will always pick Cinnamon Ellaidhoo when I travel to Maldives and I will selected Water bangalow 242 to recollect all my memories. This place will be my annual retreat choice. Special note to Suhaib (from Bangladesh) who was from house keeping ensured my room was crisp every day in the morning and evening he would clean the room so that I walk into a fresh space to call it home away home. He will last long in the hospitality trade and a asset for Cinnamon.

We've stayed 12 nights at holiday season, when the resort was fully booked, but it still felt very private, and was not crowded, making it possible to relax, and to escape, which is one of it's biggest advantages. The atmosphere on the island is very relaxing. Staff is extremely kind, especially in the main restaurant. And the marine life is extraordinary around the island. We arrived by boat, left with seaplane, so for the comparison, plane was much more comfortable, and gave a special view of the area, but only 20 minutes shorter than the boat ride.

Accommodation (superior ocean view room): Rooms were large, well furnished, very clean, had all the amenities one could need and the bed was very comfortable. Couldn't ask for anything more! Food: Buffet restaurant served a very diverse array of food from local curries and fish dishes to western meals as well as a fresh salad bar and extensive fruit and desert section. We were really impressed with the quality of the food, everything was delicious. In addition to the food included in the all inclusive, there is also an additional a la carte restaurant that we ate at one night which was fantastic, the food was incredible and the service was 5*. Every few nights there are also additional options available such as an all you can eat seafood bbq that is amazing and worth the additional cost. Facilities & activities: Great selection of excursions available e.g. to visit a local island, go snorkelling on other reefs etc. Spa facilities are great and of a very high quality. PADI dive shop at the resort provides access not only to snorkelling and diving equipment for rent but also ability to do PADI courses and book dive trips to other reefs. There is also a very well equipped gym. Service/staff: Overall the service was great! Staff were very friendly and always keen to help and provide additional information. Particularly, we want to thank and recognise Nazeer, who works in the bar area. Nazeer constantly went above and beyond to make our trip special, checking in on us everyday, recommending things for us to try/do, providing us lots of information about the island and other islands/life in the Maldives. Snorkelling: The house reef on Ellaidhoo is really incredible for snorkelling! We spent hours everyday circling the island snorkelling and we're constantly encountering new animals and having unique experiences.
