Inns Overview

A traditional East Sussex inn in the South Downs, Ye Olde Smugglers Inne dates back to the 14th century and retains plenty of its original character. A cosy fireside bar and restaurant complement the bespoke rooms, which all benefit from free Wi-Fi.

“Fantastic stay”

Charming old building with friendly and welcoming staff. The room was spacious and very clean and the contents were good quality (eg the hairdryer). Beds/bedding were very comfortable and the self-service complementary breakfast had everything you need.

When got down to breakfast there was no one there. A table was laid out with fruit, yogurt a small selection of small boxed cerals. A brown cut loaf, jam and marmalade. Although there were a couple of lights on, it was all very gloomy and a poor presentation.
