Wow, this place really is amazing! A hidden gem! We booked based on the reviews alone really and happy we trusted them. We were looking for a lovely rested trip straight after Christmas to eat cheese, drink wine and relax by the fire. We had all of this and more. It's very easy to find and driving up to the property is beautiful, the chateau is really amazing. Staying on the grounds and having the view of the chateau for the window is so picturesque. The property is so so cosy, the fire and that living area really makes the space feel homely. We had low temperatures and frost while we were there and didn't feel cold with the fire and heaters, it heats up fast. The kitchen facilities were great too, everything we needed. But the best part for sure was the breakfast! Everyday it was different and everything was homemade. It felt really special and the best food we ate on our trip! We had a tour of the grounds with the owners which was lovely, they've done so much and so much more to come, we need to visit again in a couple of years to see the additions. They are very welcoming people and did a lot for us to make our stay a comfy one. We walked to the nearest village which was nice and there was a small shop and patisserie. We drove to lots of the surrounding towns too, Montreiul-sur-mer is definitely worth a visit. It really was a magical stay and exceeded our expectations!

Incredibly charming place, with incredibly charming owners. The breakfast was out of this world, with some very original items and everything home-made. We enjoyed hanging around the cozy fireplace in the afternoon/evenings, and exploring the surroundings during the day. The owners showed us around on their property, which was very nice as there is a lot of history hidden in this place..!

This is an excellent place to stay and we would highly recommend it. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, recommending places to visit, the accommodation is extremely quiet at night and very comfortable. The breakfast is magnificent, a hot dish, home made jams, and bread, fresh fruit, a home made tart plus yogurt. They both bring it over on a tray at the time you request and will return to collect the dirty things when you request, They are a very charming couple who want your stay to be as happy and comfortable as possible.

Magical experience. Hosts were unearthly friendly and showed us the historical location (chateau tower, grain store, walls, overgrown like a fairy tale location) they take under their custody. They have self-handedly restored the shepherd house where we guests stayed in a very private setting.
