Breakfast was excellent, everything you could need for a good Strat to the day. The staff, ie the family members were all very kind and friendly and looked after us perfectly. The place is the ideal stop in the mountains and for visiting the Bletterbach gorge.

The room was lovely, the view from our room was stunning and the overall territory of the hotel is very green and neat. The bedding was very comfortable, except for the pillow, which was non-existent to my taste.

Just amazing. We’re from Rome and came here for a quick 5 day vacation and it literally felt like heaven! After all the hustle and bustle of the overcrowded city, Gasthof Schmiederalm gave us just what we needed: serenity, silence, cool and fresh air and amazing hospitality of the staff and the host family. We spent all our days trekking in the forest with our dog, visiting the nearby attractions and just enjoying nature. The only thing you will hear here is distant jingle of cowbells and birds singing. The room wasn’t big but is was clean and cozy. The shared bathrooms were always super tidy and good smelling. There was always a vast choice of products for breakfast and it was truly delicious. Overall, we’re super happy about our stay and just can’t wait to be back❤️
