Resort Overview

Stylish and eco-friendly, Dolphin Beach features luxurious tents next to a private stretch on Alankuda Beach, Sri Lanka. Blue skies, clear waters of the Indian Ocean and friendly dolphins will accompany guests on their stay. On-site water sports activities and free Wi-Fi are also available.
Decorated in rich and bright orange, all air-conditioned tents feature a spacious verandah with comfortable seating. En suite bathrooms are equipped with a relaxing rainshower.
Dolphin Beach is 18 km from Palavi Railway Station and 20 km from Kalpitiya Town. It is a 2.5-hour drive to Colombo City and a 2-hour drive, or 110 km, from Bandaranaike International Airport.
Guests can arrange day trips at the tour desk, or enjoy free bicycle rides to explore the area. Laundry and dry cleaning services are also provided by the hotel. Guests can also relax at the Ayurveda Spa or take exciting kite surfing lessons at in-house school
Authentic Sri Lankan cuisine, as well as delicious international buffet spreads, can be enjoyed at the open-air restaurant, which also features an à la carte menu. Beach barbecues can also be arranged by the hotel. A daily breakfast can be served on the beach.

“A peaceful and relaxing stay!”

Dolphin Beach Resort is very chilled and relaxed. Despite having all tents booked, it was peaceful. The wind turbines (dotted along the coastline) were surprisingly quiet, just a gentle low key swoosh in the background. The tents are spacious, the staff are great. Lakshman is very helpful and the waiting staff are friendly and accommodating. They put on a delicious buffet and party on the beach for NYE. We enjoyed the dolphin watching trip, borrowing the kayaks (for free) and the cupboard of books. Would definitely return!

From the fabulous beach to the stunning and comfortable glamping tents, everything was perfect. We were so lucky to find this beautiful hotel having been very disappointed with a previous booking elsewhere. We got a room last minute. Best decision ever.

The beautiful and clean pool and seating areas; the food was great. The staff were so kind, helpful and professional (particular thanks to Lacsman, Tatu and other manager who helped so much when our son was ill.) The huts were really lovely and comfortable, and the aircon and wifi were great. We loved the bathroom and outside shower and little garden at the back. Although whale and dolphin boats not running there was a good lagoon boat ride
