We stayed in one of the apartments at Laxárbakki for one night only. It was a really good night of sleep and the place had everything one would possibly need (even washing machine inside our apartment). The view was lovely and a huge bonus was the restaurant! Home made lovely Icelandic dishes made our stay more welcoming and enjoyable. The owners were kind and accommodating! We are truly grateful for your hospitality and surely would stay again (possibly, when we come back during summer season).

Perfect for a family of 5 ( two adults 3 children) as a stopover on the way to the north west of the island. Certainly big enough for us all!

Peaceful and quiet place. Room with kitchen and everything you need in order to cook. The sauna and hot tub are free to use for the guests.

Our room was big enough for the two of us. We also have a kitchen and utensils, including ref and microwave, which is very convenient if you don't want to eat in their restaurant. The landscape around is beautiful. We chose to stay here as we were exploring Snæfellsnes. The owner was nice and very accommodating.

Perfect location if stop over from Snæfellsnes for golden circle next day (winter) Ideal for star gaze and northern light outside it’s very dark. Good view of ice river and mountain. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for a meal.

Hotel Laxarbakki has a great sauna and hot tub. The owner was very friendly, my husband had to collect something at the airport and I could stay a bit longer. We were able to see the northern lights..

Accomodation is impeccably clean and in beautiful condition. Views are insane. The night sky is so beautiful. Staff are incredible. Cleaned every day even though I didn't expect it in a self catered accomodation. Has everything you could possibly need even a coffee maker. Hot tub and sauna too. Brilliant.
