The location was perfect and the room was very comfortable if a little cold at the time. We did have an electric blanket and a heater. The shower was really good. Our host, John, was always helpful and knowledgeable.

The breakfast at Blythecliffe was wonderful- even homemade croissants! My partner had a full cooked breakfast. The view was lovely and the host John was also great and very friendly. It was an experience to stay in the oldest house in New Zealand - very authentic.

The house and the grounds were fantastic, and I felt like we stepped back in time. John was fantastic, and breakfast was superb. Blackcurrant welcomed us with a few meows.

The view and sculptured gardens were magnificent. The moment we stepped into the room the stress and tiredness sloughed away. The hosts were personable and knowledgeable of the area. There are pets and animals around the area which were environmentally welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic.

I had a wonderful 2 days staying at Blythcliffe in the self-catering apartment. The room and facilities were fantastic and Lesley had left a whole range of treats for me which were fantastic. Akaroa is beautiful, it was quiet due to the time of year but I liked that and enjoyed local walks and soaking up the feel of the area. A gorgeous stay!

The place was so beautiful!!! It's a historical building built in the 1800s so I feel like stepping back in time. Such a lovely bed and breakfast experience. I wish it only weren't so cold and muggy that time we stayed.

Quiet, intimate and comfortable. Beautiful historic house and fantastic hostes. Breakfast was delicious with both hot and cold options. Hot breakfast cooked to order. Upstarts balcony overlooking the bay was a great place to relax at the end of the day.
