Fab location in the old town, perfect for bars and restaurants, and just generally wandering around. Plenty of shops and markets to browse too. The apartment was clean and cosy , with much needed aircon and had most things you need.

The apartment is located in the very center of the city, on Thursday I saw an interesting market right next to the building. Walking distance to all the sights. Everything was clean in the apartment, there were towels, shower gel, hair dryer, air conditioning. The bed is comfortable. The toilet has a sink for washing hands, which is usually rare for a separate bathroom.

The studio is right in the centre of the old part of Aix (ca 15 minutes on foot from the bus station). It's not as noisy as some earlier comments suggested (I slept without ear plugs, and I'm a light sleeper). There's air condition (plus thick curtains in the window), microwave oven, ironing board+iron, hair dryer, TV, fridge. Wifi is very good. The bed is really spacious and comfy, and the whole place is clean. It's good to keep in mind that the studio is in an old building (re some comments below - there IS light in the staircase: when you get inside the building, it's on your left), so you can expect some romantic neglect :) The thing with collecting the key from a box, which was elsewhere in the centre, was perhaps a bit inconvenient, but the deposit box wasn't that far away (4 min from the studio). Everything I needed was within walking distance (e.g., the University - 16 min, Musée Granet - 8 min). On Friday and Saturday mornings, just around the corner, there is a fruit/veggie/fish market - you can stroll among the stalls and look at the gorgeous colours of heaps of paprika, eggplants, courgettes, etc.
