I recently had the pleasure of staying at this boutique hotel, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, Janaka and the entire staff made me feel incredibly welcome with their lovely and warm hospitality. Every interaction was filled with kindness, and it was clear that they truly care about making each guest feel special. The attention to detail in the hotel’s service was outstanding, with Janaka and his team going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Whether it was a personalized greeting, offering great local recommendations, or simply being there to assist with any requests, the staff’s kindness shone through at every turn. The hotel itself was beautifully designed, offering a cozy yet luxurious atmosphere that made me feel at home right away. It’s rare to find such a combination of lovely surroundings and outstanding customer service, but this boutique hotel managed to offer both in abundance. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a truly memorable and heartfelt experience. Janaka and the team made my stay unforgettable, and I can’t wait to return!

To be concise, Uyana is the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka. A clean, modern, spacious property set in beautiful gardens with a pool far-larger than typically seen for this type of place (<5 rooms). The room was enormous, stylish, and spotlessly clean. The manager, Janaka, was always on hand to help with arranging activities, transport, or anything else that we needed. The breakfast was delicious and complimentary coffee and coconut water were available throughout the day. Even after only two nights we felt thoroughly relaxed and well cared-for. The Ocean, and a number of high-quality restaurants are a short drive away in Ahangama. The distance from the town gives the benefit of tranquility.

It was one of the most peaceful surroundings, kindest staff and even the food was brilliant. Rooms were huge, the pool is massive but the garden area was the best part of the property. 10/10 anyday.

Beautiful spacious room next to a 25m pool in a quiet rural location close to the coast. Janaka the manager was especially helpful. All round an excellent stay. Thoroughly recommended.

Amazing place. A 10 is very difficult in my opinion as there’s usually something not quite right. But UYANA deserves a 10. Everything here made our stay perfect. Huge rooms, very clean minimalist style, beautifully landscaped gardens. Rice field views, very quiet. 20m swimming pool. Very friendly staff and great breakfast. We have rebooked to stay at the end of our trip.

Had such an amazing couple of days. Was booked into the suite with balcony which looked onto paddy fields. Loved hearing the birds and at dusk, sitting outside my room, would watch the huge fruit bats fly over, and it was also nearly a full moon so very beautiful evenings. Room was to a high spec, all very elegant and tasteful (in my opinion!). This was full on luxe experience and Janaka, who is the resident manager, was great with everything. He and his staff were amazing and made the stay very memorable. He sorted out my tuk tuk to get to my next hotel, and on my first evening, very kindly drove me to where he had booked dinner for me (he even offered to pick me up, but I sorted that out myself). The second evening, I ate at the hotel and it was one of the best meals I had on my trip. Wonderful. generous breakfast. Fresh and made to order each morning. Felt every need was catered for, Janaka and his staff very attentive but in discreet way. Lovely, restful way to start each day. The swimming pool was the main reason for why I chose UYANA as I love swimming and the 25m pool did not disappoint. Will be back and for a longer stay. Big thanks to Janeka for making it such a wonderful stay.

This was our second stay at Uyana and it exceeded the first visit. We absolutely loved staying here. It's an absolute gem away from the main town of Ahangama on the edge of a rice paddy. Peaceful and only four rooms, the staff here are so accommodating and kind. Will definitely return again.
