Wow, what can I say! Kurulu and his family gave us a magical stay. We originally planned to stay for a week and ended up staying at Midigama Inn for a whole month. The rooms are very well thought out and comfortable. The food tastes fantastic, it is beautifully situated in the middle of nature and calm and yet very close to everything Midigama has to offer (restaurants, beach, surf spots, etc.) You definitely have to try the Cooking Class - Chandima & Kurulu explained to us in great detail how to create the best rice & curry! They know the area well and can help with anything. Really thank you for everything! <3

Midigama inn is probably the guesthouse With the best quality/price ratio I have been in many years or travel. it s very quiet and clean, has a beautiful garden and kuluru and his family will do everything for you: from pickup to cooking classes. When I was there they did the best possible thing: they prepared (completely for free) the best possible New Years feast you could imagine. It felt like home and, differently than many other guesthouses, it felt authentic. Not to mention that it was delicious and also wonderfully arranged and prepared: not just a joy for eating but also for the eyes, which in my experience is not so common in Sri Lanka, unless you go to “western oriented” places, run by Europeans and with European prices! Every day, for example, I had fresh lotus flowers on my table: it was so nice! kuluru also helped me find another accommodation when I decided to stay longer in Midigama and he was fully booked Things to mention just to set expectations: - Midigama inn is in a little road about 8 mins walk from the street, 4 mins from main road: this guarantee peace and quiet but bring a light to come back at night (or your phone :) - No AC and no hot water: Very common in Midigama and Kuluru can arrange for you a pot with boiling water so that you can still have your hot shower

We had the most amazing stay in Kurulu’s and Chandima‘s wonderful place. As we arrived we felt straigt away like home. Both of them are one of the kindest and warmest people we met during our travels. Beside that Midigama Inn is a fantastic family-run homestay nestled in nature, perfect for a quiet getaway. Chandima‘s food is incredible - especially the pineapple is to die for! We already miss this place and it‘s lovely people and can‘t wait to come back. Thank you for all your amazing hospitality. ❤️

This was the most wonderful place we found on our travels through Sri Lanka. Very relaxing location, just a few minutes away from everything you need. Quiet and romantic atmosphere, waking up to the sounds of the jungle. Clean rooms and very comfy beds. We only booked two nights but ended up staying for more than a week. The hosting family was amazingly kind to us and made us feel like home from the very first second. Also, we had the best curry on our journey right here. (and we had lots of currys) Thank you for having us! :)

Everything is very clean, the room is perfectly located. Close to the beach but far from the noise. The hosts are super kind and offer their help for whatever we needed. All in all just a super nice experience and we would always book the room again. Thank you so much!

Such a beautiful local family, very kind and loving. They are both very eager to fulfill all your needs, from delicious food to scooters or bicycles. The place is located in such a natural jungle area, i felt very safe. Definitely coming back

This is absolutely the best stay I have had in Sri Lanka ❤️ The moment I arrived at Midigama Inn I felt like home. Kurulu & his family will always meet you with so much happiness, always ready to help you with whatever you need. As a solo female traveler, it is important to feel safe and I felt so safe at Midigama Inn. I was supposed to stay 2 nights but ended up staying 10 nights, and I never want to leave. On my first day I did the cooking class and learned so much about different curries, and had the best food experience so far in Sri Lanka. The location is perfect for you who wants to be close to nature but still close to beach & main road. I love surfing, and the location is perfect for surfing at Lazy left & right and also Fisherman’s point. Make sure you visit Babas sunset cafe on the beach! There is some shops renting out surfboards on mainroad. The garden is absolutely stunning, always surrounded with flowers. They put beautiful decorations of flowers that they put in the room and outside of the room. The room is very clean, spacious & bed is so comfortable! I am very adventurous and Kurulu helped me to arrange with all the details to explore the surroundings and to explore Sri Lanka like a local. I saw different beaches, many different Buddhist temples, elephant safari, jungle, Sinharaja, mountains. Ask Kurulu, he will arrange everything for you for a good price! :) Thank you so much for all the happiness, love, help, support, beautiful and interesting talks. And the best food!!!
