Great place to stay, the rooms are very well furnished and clean, the common areas are well maintained, very nice atmosphere with the other guests. Great price for the quality of accommodation you get. The newly opened restaurant had the best food I had during my whole trip, a must visit even if you don't stay there. I wish I had stayed longer and will definitely come back!

Nice quiet location, quite close to restaurants. Spacious room with a big balcony (I was on the first floor). Kitchen facilities free for guests to use. Very friendly and helpful staff.

A very relaxing stay. The location was perfect as it was away from the main roads and rail roads making it very quiet, the staff was genuinely helpful. Big spacious and comfortable rooms and a great place to meet other travellers.

Makai has been like a home for my stay in Sri Lanka. The location is outside of the main road so you get this chill vibe of being surrounded by nature. I’ve been here working remotely and i found it the perfect place to work as the vibe is so chill and the wifi is mostly working perfectly. Rooms are clean and spacious also hot water is appreciated on rainy days. The owners and the local family taking care of the place are super helpful and friendly. There’s also a fully-equipped kitchen to cook. I’d definitely come back here. This place made the difference on my stay in Ahangama.
