Loved the community vibe of all ages here. Super close to the beach and a grocery store. Liked that you could rent bikes and surf boards. A great little hostel.

We booked the family room which is just a dorm to yourself. I liked that we had our own space, own private bathroom and that dogs were allowed. There was a fridge in the room as well which was good. They also have surfboards and bikes for hire at a really good rate

The room was in a really nice house, separated from the bunk beds. Bathroom and common rooms were cozy and spacious.

Very close to the beach and food places. Nice vibes and cozy. The place had a great set up with a great mix of plants that felt foresty and secluded

Friendly atmosphere of place, both staff & patrons (not intrusive yet genuinely helpful or couteous reply if asking questions or commenting on activities or facilities). Great facilities, they had the nice, large dinning & lounge area downstairs for all guests. Pool table & table tennis or reading the walls for entertainment. The family room was well arranged with the beds, sofas & coffee table to be a family unit. But we immensely enjoyed going downstairs to hang out, cook & play pool or table tennis too. Nice to know there's chef's meals available also. Thanks to all for the wonderful experience at Backpackers @ 1770 on Saturday 23rd November 2024.

The other guests/backpackers were considerate of other guests and not rowdy. Being able to bring our new kitten who was too young to be left home alone with a pet sitter.
