Claire “If you want an authentic stone Greek villa (not a trendy, modern build) and appreciate being outdoors in a beautiful gar”
A beautiful and tastefully decorated villa with sufficient space inside for a family of four. All the beds were very comfortable, good working air con which is a must (39 degrees outside) and very clean (it was also cleaned mid way through our 10 day stay and fresh bed linen & towels were provided). What makes Askos Villa exceptional is the absolutely stunning garden, so many beautiful trees, plants, herbs & flowers. The grounds outside are huge with so many different places to relax. We loved all the different paths winding in & around the garden. When we were not out & about sightseeing we spent all our time outside and there are several spots where you can shade from the sun. Superb swimming pool (not just a plunge pool) that you can actually swim in and the views over the mountains and sea view are breathtaking. There is an outside shower (for rinsing off before & after using the pool) but given the privacy & spectacular view there’s nothing preventing you using it for a proper wash! The owner and host, Soula, is one of the kindest people you will meet, she met us on arrival and had very kindly stocked the kitchen with some food & drink, far more than just the essentials. The villa and gardens are obviously a labour of love for her and she has created a lush paradise in the mountains. The gardener, Mr Petros comes every day to tend to the garden & pool, again a very friendly & kind person and he obviously has worked very hard over the years to make this garden so very beautiful.
