We spent 11 unforgettable days in Italy, starting in Rome before heading to the Amalfi Coast. One of the highlights of our journey was our stay at Agriturismo Mare e Monti, a charming retreat nestled in the mountains that has truly captured our hearts. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by Pasquale, who made us feel instantly at home. He graciously showed us around the farm and offered us delightful cakes and coffee, a thoughtful gesture after our long journey from Rome. Later, we met Silvio, who treated us like family. His extensive knowledge of agriculture and food was truly captivating. I can honestly say I've visited many places in Italy, but I’ve never tasted food as fresh and delicious as what we enjoyed here. The family takes great pride in their produce and cooking, and it shows. Each evening, we indulged in a variety of starters, while the main courses were nothing short of heavenly— good portions at remarkably reasonable prices. Each morning at breakfast, Anna took wonderful care of us, consistently serving up delicious omelettes. Both Anna and Pasquale are truly exceptional chefs, and their culinary talents are a tremendous asset to Agriturismo Mare e Monti. Silvio’s heart is truly in his business as he treated us with an exceptional, and attentive service. He provided us with countless tips on hiking and exploring the area, and each day he eagerly inquired about our adventures and how we were enjoying our stay. It felt less like being guests and more like visiting beloved Italian relatives—we truly became part of the family. If you're seeking a cozy, relaxing retreat in the Amalfi Coast, away from overpriced tourist traps and crowds, Agriturismo Mare e Monti is the perfect choice. It offers easy access to the larger cities by car or bus while providing a serene escape. Our time at Agriturismo Mare e Monti was an unforgettable experience that we will cherish forever.

Silvio and Anna are perfect hosts. The room was very tidy and clean and provided everything we needed. The tipps of trips to do and locations to see were brilliant. The food was the most amazing we had during the whole trip, not to mention the very kind way in which Silvio and Anna always made us feel welcome. We would always come back and can only recommend their place.

Silvio, his family and staff really go out of their way to make you feel at home. Even before our arrival Silvio was proactive with communication, sharing tips about bus schedule from Amalfi, checking to make sure we find our way. We were arriving after 8pm which is busy dinner time at Mare e Monti and yet Silvio took time to come and pick us up from the bus stop in his own car, as it was already dark. When we checked in they served us amazing delicious and abundant dinner made from local ingredients, mostly grown/raised in their own farm and treated us to their home made wine. The breakfasts were again great (honestly, the best out of all hotels we've ever stayed at) with lots of options to choose from. During the day they would offer us sandwiches and fruits to take with us on our hikes. Overall, this was by far the best service and value for money that we received during our 2 week Italian vacation, out of 5 different places we stayed at. Very generous hosts that really want to make sure you are happy. Location is great if you like hiking, mountains and agriturismo style. You can enjoy truly spectacular views of the sea and the Amalfi coast from 630m above sea level, hike multiple trails or just chill at the farm where they grow all sorts of fruits and vegetables and animals.
