On the edge of the Brecon Beacons, these 4-star stone cottages have free internet and private parking. Tunnel Cottages at Blaen-nant-y-Groes Farm have a scenic location above Cwmbach.
The cosy cottages and studios feature heated flag-stone floors and most feature exposed beams and wood-burning stoves. All cottages have a private entrance and a barbecue area with wonderful countryside views.
The cottages have a modern kitchen with a cooker and dishwasher, and the studios have a mini kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and hob. All accommodation features a dining area, comfortable leather sofas, free Wi-Fi and Sky TV.
The drop off for Bike Park Wales is on the hill behind the cottages and Zip World with the longest zip wire in Europe is on the other side of the valley, a 15 minute drive. From the bottom of our drive, a 20 minute flat walk along the old railway line brings you to The Rhoswenallt inn. We also have a Shepherds Hut situated in the paddock in front of the cottages. It has its own bathroom and kitchen facilities in the adjacent shed.
Set in 15 private acres, the Cottages are a 15-minute drive from the Brecon Beacons and Merthyr, 30 minutes from Cardiff, and 45 minutes from Swansea and the Gower coast.

It has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. It has a wood-burning stove, underfloor heating, private entrance and barbecue area with great views.

The cottage has 2 floors connected by a beautiful spiral staircase. The ground floor has living and dining areas and an open plan kitchen with dishwasher. It has a bedroom and a bathroom on the first floor. The twin beds cam be made up as a double. It has a wood-burning stove, underfloor heating, private entrance and barbecue area with great views.

This first-floor studio has underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove. The open-plan sleeping and living area has Sky TV, free Wi-Fi, and a small kitchenette with a hob, fridge and a microwave. The twin beds can also be made up as a double bed, on request. It has a wood-burning stove, underfloor heating, private entrance and barbecue deck with great views.

This ground-floor studio has underfloor heating and a disabled friendly bathroom. The open-plan sleeping and living area has Sky TV, free Wi-Fi, and a small kitchenette with a hob, fridge and a microwave. The twin beds can also be made up as a double bed, on request. It has a private entrance and barbecue area with great views.

The Shepherds Hut is situated in the paddock in front of the cottages and has a mountain view. It has a double bed and like the cottages has free wi-fi and Freeview channels plus Sky movies and sport. It has electric heat and light and also has a wood-burning stove. It has its own bathroom and kitchen facilities in the adjacent shed.

Featuring a private entrance, this apartment also consists of 1 bedroom, a seating area and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower and a hairdryer. Guests can make meals in the kitchenette that is equipped with a refrigerator, kitchenware, a microwave and an electric kettle. The apartment provides a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a washing machine, soundproof walls, a wardrobe as well as mountain views. The unit offers 1 bed.

Fantastic views. Cottage was clean and comfortable there was everything in there that we needed for out stay. The owner was very helpful and nothing too much trouble.

Lovely cosy cottage with underfloor heating and woodburner. The second time we have stayed. Everything you need for a short break. We didn’t do any cooking but everything there if you need to. Lovely surroundings and view. Quiet and clean.

Fabulous location with great views, warm welcome from the owner. The cottage was fantastic! Small but perfectly equipped, the downstairs underfloor heating was amazing… took a little while to get up to the bedroom - but not uncomfortably so. The stair case in our cottage was a spiral one made of iron with non solid stairs, which meant we had to make a wee barricade to stop the dogs going on them (they do listen to us… most of the time 😂), just something to be aware of if you come with doggos. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back again!
