I was looking for a place to escape the city’s heat, traffic, and constant noise, and this house was the perfect retreat. It’s located in the southeastern part of Madeira, near Prazeres, offering you a peaceful sanctuary with stunning gardens—all to yourself. There are amazing spots to watch sunsets, and the neighborhood is calm, beautiful, and safe. The house has two floors: the ground floor features a dining room, kitchen, and bathroom, while upstairs you’ll find a cozy bedroom with a balcony—perfect for enjoying a glass of Madeira wine in the evening. There’s also a separate dining area with a grill and a second toilet if needed. Parking is conveniently available right in front of the house. One thing to note—be cautious of the wild cats in the area and avoid petting them, as they can be unpredictable.

Great accommodation for those wanting authentic experience. Location is very calm, beautiful gardens around with amazing ocean views. The house is very traditional, quite small but very cosy. Great town of Prazeres close by with some local cafes and bars to enjoy after hikes. Idalina was a very friendly host, gave us some great tips and suggestions what to visit. P.S. Definitely need a car to be able to get around.
